Dr. Kleinman performs an intensive consultation prior to creating a customized treatment plan for each individual.

• Medical Acupuncture- needles placed at specific points in the body to encourage the body to promote natural healing.
  
• 5 Element Acupuncture- an advanced acupuncture technique that seeks
  to balance all 12 meridians in the body. Addresses the mind, body, and spirit connection.
  
• Mei Zen – Cosmetic Acupuncture- non invasive technique to reduce the signs of aging.
  
• Surface Energetics – involves placing needles in the afflicted area in a more superficial level than regular acupuncture.
  
• Moxibustion – a localized heating technique utilizing an herb known as mugwort.
  
• Gentle warming transfers heat through the tip of the needle into the
  meridians.
  
• Cupping- The vacuum application of glass cups over an area of musculo-skeletal pain or muscle tension. This technique helps to relieve painful obstructions in the body’s meridian network.
  
• Gua Sha – A technique of scrapping the surface of a body part to increase flow in that region. For example, this is frequently done over the upper back and shoulder region.
  
• Electrical Stimulation – The application of a very low voltage to the needles to provide further stimulation of the needle. This is not painful.  The electricity is barely felt by the individual.
  
• Peripheral Nerve Stimulation – The application of acupuncture needles in a specific musculo-skeletal area while applying high intensity nerve stimulation.This technique is often used to treat sciatica.
  
• Osteopuncture – The application of needles to the surface of the bone in order to relieve deep bone pain. Often electrical stimulation is also applied to enhance pain relief and healing.
  
• Herbs – Dr. Kleinman may suggest herb formulas which can enhance the acupuncture treatments. All herb formulas suggested by Dr. Kleinman are grown and formulated in the United States.
• Auricular Acupuncture- the needling of points within the ear to enhance effectiveness of energy movement within the body.
